Ronald E. Young, 72, of Reidland died at Noon Thursday at his residence.

Mr. Young was retired from Sante Fe Railroad of Chicago, Illinois where he worked as a special agent with thirty five years of service, a U.S. Navy Veteran serving during the Korean War, and a member of Reidland Christian Church.

He is survived by his wife of fifty one years, Ruth Young, two sons, Steven E. Young of Jefferson, South Carolina and Darryl E. Young of Naples, Florida, one daughter, Laurie Ann Young Mackert of Chicago, Illinois, three sisters, Carol Houston of Opelika, Alabama, Loretta Brown of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Linda Harris of Ft. Myers, Florida, five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Edward Young and Ann Adams Young.

Memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Reidland Christian Church with Zach Browning officiating. There will be no visitation.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contribution to Reidland Christian Church Building Fund, 5300 Kentucky Dam Rd., Paducah, Kentucky 42003.
