Jeffrey A. Cook, 58, of Reidland, formerly of New York, died at 9:45 a.m. Saturday at home.

Mr. Cook was a former security guard for Clark Detective Agency of Evansville, IN. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife Lindy Cook of Reidland, one son, Jeffrey W. Cook of Toms River, New Jersey, two brothers, Robert Cook of New York City and Kenneth Cook of Toms River, New Jersey, three sisters, Kathleen Fashenpour of Wadsworth, Ohio, Susan Cunningham and Pamela Weill, both of New York City, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert S. Cook and Myrtle Segriff Cook.

There will be no local service or visitation.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in New York.

Hughes Funeral Home of Paducah is in charge of arrangements.
